LA’s The Place’s Jeff Gaskin catches up with actor Christopher McDonald at a 2011 Oscar event. Christopher explains why he changed his mind about taking the role of Shooter McGavin after meeting Adam Sandler, and about his latest role as the arrogant attorney, Thomas “Tommy” Jefferson, on NBC’s Harry’s Law that is now in its second season in which he costars with Kathy Bates. Christopher McDonald is well known for his character roles and more specifically antagonistic characters such as Shooter McGavin in Happy Gilmore, or Tappy Tibbons in Requiem for a Dream, and Mel Allen in the HBO film 61* directed by Billy Crystal. On television, Christopher McDonald has had a consistent career with recurring roles on the television series Family Law, North Shore, Veronica’s Closet, with guest appearances on Cheers, Knight Rider, The Sopranos, Home Improvement, and Star Trek: The Next Generation, among many others.
