Scottsdale, AZ: Hermosa Inn’s Artist in Residence Vacation Getaway

Cash for your car

What better reason for an Arizona getaway than Hermosa Inn’s Artist in Residence Series beginning October 12, 2011? Each month for the next six months at Paradise Valley’s luxury boutique, Hermosa Inn, share an intimate evening at the award-winning LON’s Restaurant with an intriguing, accomplished artist while getting an insider’s view into their fascinating journey.

The annual Artist-in-Residence Series is inspired by Hermosa Inn’s creative roots as it was the private residence of renowned cowboy artist Lon Megargee.

“Bringing well-known artists and authors here for intimate gatherings was what Lon himself might have done,” comments Fred Unger, who owns the Hermosa Inn with his wife, Jennifer. “Even today, the residential feel and cozy scale of the inn make it a natural choice for salon-style evenings.”

Inaugural Artist in Residence: Belva Davis

An evening with the first black female journalist of the western U.S., Belva Davis, will launch the 1930’s historic Hermosa Inn’s Artist in Residence Series on October 12, 2011 at 6:30 pm. Davis will speak about how she overcame racism and sexism, helping forever change the face of TV news.  Belva Davis will be signing her memoir, Never in My Wildest Dreams, at the end of the evening.  Tickets are $125 which includes both the talk with Belva Davis and a four-course dinner paired with wines at LON’s.
