Hosted by singer/TV star Chilli (What Chilli Wants), SoftSheen-Carson Roots of Nature Presented “Picture of Strength” To Benefit A Place Called Home.

Generations of families and friends came together from neighborhoods all over Los Angeles and were treated to free family portraits, hair-styling and mini-makeovers on March 19th.

SoftSheen-Carson is the #1 ethnic haircare brand in the world, and brought its signature Roots of Nature “Picture of Strength” event to Los Angeles on Saturday March 19th, 2011. The exciting afternoon event of beauty and charity, brought the community together and celebrated its strong roots. Attendees received a free family portrait from professional photographers, complimentary hair styling by SoftSheen-Carson Celebrity Stylists, and complimentary mini-makeovers by professional Maybelline New York Makeup Artists.

For every attendee of “Picture of Strength”, SoftSheen-Carson made a donation to A Place Called Home, a non-profit organization that provides educational, recreational and mentorship programs to at-risk youth in South Central Los Angeles .

Rocking a pair of snug white 7 jeans ‘jeggings’ and snake-skin sky-high stilettos – the TLC founding member and Vh1What Chilli Wants star was all smiles as hosted a fun day of SoftSheen-Carson make-overs for charity.

Chilli shared that she’s a big American Idol fan and refers to Jennifer Lopez as her “girl” and says she definitely know what she’s talking about – she misses Simon just a little bit – but doesn’t miss some of his mean comments – so there!

And about Dancing with the Stars – Chilli’s already got her money on Sugar Ray Leonard – she thinks he’s got what it takes to win it all – good looks, charm & charisma!
