GBK Celebrates Golden Globe Nominees, Presenters with Extraordinary Gifting Suite at The London Hotel

GBK Productions—a leading luxury lifestyle gift lounge and special events company—continued its presence at the top award shows with its 2011 gifting suite for the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards last weekend, celebrating the presenters and nominees at The London Hotel in West Hollywood. On both the Friday and the Saturday before the Golden Globe Awards took place, GBK hosted nine rooms of vendors and brands on the second floor of The London Hotel, including Sugar Babies Cupcakery, which debuted custom Globe-themed mini cupcakes in a variety of flavors and gifted attendees a gift certificate for a dozen free cakes at the cupcake truck. The rest of the gifts included pieces in fashion, beauty, travel, liquor and entertainment. Gavin B. Keilly, the president of GBK Productions, will donate 20 percent of the proceeds to charities such as GLAAD, City of Hope, Donate Life, Okobos and Broadway in the Hood.

A plethora of celebrities attended the GBK gifting suite, including George Lopez, Dennis QuaidMartin Short, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jesse Williams, Alan Thicke and Melissa Joan Hart, to name a few. Short even was heard saying that this suite was the first one he had ever attended.

GBK has received many honors, including several BizBash Awards for “Best Bag,” this one valuing $35,000. While stars, media and VIPs enjoyed the vendor booths and refreshments, GBK was also achieving a new honor—showcasing the winner of the Guinness Book of World Records’ “Largest Magnetic Sculpture” made by Nano Magnetics and comprised of 550,000 magnets and weighing 600 pounds.
