This Thanksgiving, Muse Lifestyle Group (Muse) will donate 718 turkeys to all residents of the Hollywood Community Housing Corporation (HCHC) on November 23, 2010.

For the second year in a row, Muse (along with subsidiaries Playhouse Hollywood and Chi Dynasty), will commemorate Thanksgiving with their second annual turkey drive and festival. HCHC will be receiving the 700 plus turkeys, which will go to all HCHC residents, that is, low-income, previously homeless, seniors and HIV positive households.

This year’s event will take place at HCHC’s newest location, Orchard Gables located at 1277 Wilcox Avenue at Fountain Avenue. The new venue is a Historic-Cultural Monument that will soon serve as offices for the LACER (Literacy, Arts, Culture, Education, and Recreation) after school program. HCHC will provide shuttle service for residents to get to and from the site.

The festival will run from 5PM to 8PM on Tuesday, November 23. Orchard Gables will be transformed for the day into a festival with a bounce house, arts and crafts booths, popcorn machines, face painting, live band (www.jacaranda101.com) and of course, turkeys.  Muse and the Playhouse staff, along with members of PAL (Police Athletic League) will join together to distribute the turkeys. Chi Dynasty will cater the event, providing upscale Chinese cuisine for all guests.

“We are looking forward to giving back to the community during such a special time.  Last year’s event was a great success and we’re excited to do it bigger and better this Thanksgiving with the addition of activities for HCHC residents”, says Muse owner Robert Vinokur.

Partnering with Hollywood Community Housing Corporation came as an obvious fit for Muse Lifestyle Group, as the non-profit focuses specifically on providing housing for lower income households in the Hollywood area.
