The Privé Brand Enacts “Cash For Clunkers” Hair Care Program

Cash for your car

Privé Products, a line of high performance, eco-friendly hair care products, gives new meaning to the term: “Cash for Clunkers”. They’ve  created a new program where consumers are encouraged to trade in their “clunkers. No they don’t want your car, they want your old hair products that are no longer fulfilling your hair care needs!

In their Los Angeles and New York Salons, they are offering a 20 percent discount on any Privé Products purchase, including the new Concept Vert line of eco-friendly, paraben- and sulfate-free products when you “trade in” your lackluster products from home.

“The program is our version of a beauty industry stimulus program,” states Jackie Applebaum, CEO of Privé Products. “Not only will it give consumers incentive to purchase products but it also allows them to replace the old with the new – in many cases inspiring people to begin using  hair products free from chemicals, making the product better for the environment.”

Besides receiving a discount, consumers will save in the long run too, as the Environmentally Preferred Products line is designed to provide higher yields in smaller reusable packages.

Privé’s “Cash for Clunkers” program launched at Trillium Salon in Elkhart, Indiana. Within a couple days of launching the project, clients of Trillium Salon had traded bagfuls of old hair products worth over $4500 through the program.
