Celebrating its 20th anniversary, The Bistro Garden in Studio City will hold a special dinner benefitting the Concern Foundation for Cancer Research on Friday, September 24th, 2010.

A selection of the most popular menu items available at the original Bistro and Bistro Garden restaurants, famous in Beverly Hills from the 1960s to the 1980s, will be available at their original prices.

Kurt Niklas, who passed away last year, was the owner and proprietor of the original Bistro and Bistro Garden restaurants, formerly located on Canon Drive. In their heyday, they were frequented by celebrities, the dining elite, and even US Presidents.

The legacy of the original Bistro restaurants is carried on in Studio City by the new owners of The Bistro Garden, Gregory Pappas and his wife Carolyn Niklas Pappas – Kurt’s daughter. Both Pappas restaurant experience is steeped in tradition, as each grew up in restaurant families and remain hands-on operators of their restaurants.

20% of the proceeds of Friday’s event will go to the Concern Foundation for Cancer Research. The Pappas plan to keep the special menu items available until October 3rd.
