To help raise awareness of child poverty, Melanie Segal’s Platinum Publicity Celebrity Retreat, presented by T.J.Maxx, celebrated the 2010 Teen Choice Awards on August 4th and 5th, 2010 in Hollywood, CA. Top celebrities surrounding the Teen Choice Awards and media guests “Maxxed” out their style and had fun while helping a good cause.
Helping Children In U.S
Did you know one in every five children in the United States lives in a family with an income below the federal poverty line? In some places in the U.S., living conditions resemble parts of the developing world.* Thankfully, there are companies and non-profits to help end this alarming situation like T.J Maxx and the non-profit Save the Children.
Melanie Segal’s Celebrity Retreat event honored 26 years of partnership between T.J. Maxx and Save the Children. It was also the kick-off to a comprehensive back-to-school season program where T.J.Maxx stores nationwide will sell specially designed reusable tote bags created with Save the Children artwork. T.J.Maxx will donate all profits from these sales to Save the Children U.S. Programs.
Celebrity designed Tote Bags
Celebrities signed and decorated reusable tote bags to be auctioned on eBay to raise additional funds and awareness for the program. T.J.Maxx made donations to Save the Children in honor of each celebrity that participated in signing a tote bag for charity.
