Speed Channel’s ‘Battle of the Supercars’ Hosted by Lee Reherman Premieres July 22

Watch actor/host/former pro-football player Lee Reherman,  as his show, Battle of the Supercarswill premiere on the Speed Channel,  tomorrow, Thursday, July 22,@ 10pm E/P.  Reherman is not a stranger to the automotive world with his resume including gigs hosting the Speed series “Forza Motorsport Showdown” and voicing Hot Rod Television as well. Lee is also the host of our upcoming online tv show, “Celebrity Restaurteur“.

“Battle of the Supercars” will revolve around drivers Tanner Foust and Paul Tracy duking it out while driving prestigious cars like Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Porsches. Foust is a 2007 and 2008 Formula Drift “Pro Drift” champion and has been featured in “Top Gear USA” and “Supercars Exposed.” Tracy won the 2003 IndyCar Series.

A former “American Gladiator,” Reherman will look at the competition with his own personal insight, as an athlete (former Miami Dolphin) and scholar (attended both Cornell University and UCLA).

“With a name like ‘Battle of the Supercars,’ this series demands a larger-than-life-sized host, someone who can go toe-to-toe with Tanner and Paul and not get run over,” said Robert Ecker, SPEED VP of programming and executive producer. “Lee Reherman is that guy.”

The series installments will showcase battles between similar vehicles, for example, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti vs. Aston Martin DB9 Coupe and for another fight, Porsche 911 Turbo vs. 5.2 liter V10 Audi R8. “Battle of the Supercars” will begin its 13-show run on July 22 at 10 p.m., with each episode lasting 30 minutes. The series is a WATV production out of Los Angeles.

The Speed Channel is “the nation’s first and only cable television network dedicated to automotive and motorcycle racing, performance and lifestyle,” according to its website (www.speedtv.com) and is seen in 79 million homes while featuring Nascar races and the like.

“BATTLE OF THE SUPERCARS” premiers on SPEED Channel tomorrow night (Thurs 7/22 @ 10pm E/P).
