Prior to the Blue Carpet Ceremony, LG Electronics’ new vacuums worked overtime making the Blue Carpet sparkle at the venue for this year’s Spirit Awards. Last year’s event location, Santa Monica left sand in the carpet so LG Electronics and a few celebrities helped to clean it all up.
For every celebrity presenter, performer and nominee who performed the “charitable chore” during the Live Arrivals Show, LG Electronics made an additional donation, helping Film Independent increase cultural diversity in the film industry by cultivating the careers of under-represented filmmakers.

Backstage in the Official Presenter Gift Lounge, everyone got a chance to experience “Something Better” in home care with the new high-performance Kompressor Vacuum from LG Electronics. The stars were so thrilled to be doing Something Better for charity that they even shared some “dirt” as they helped sweep and helped raise $25,000 for Project:Involve.

Hot couple Peter Saarsgard & Maggie Gyllenhaal helped each other out with the “charitable chore.” Saarsgard said “that’s very dirty, let’s see if she knows how to do this,” while taking to the task with the LG Electronics Kompressor Vacuum, Gyllenhaal said “If I lean over, my breasts may pop out of my dress!”
Best Actress winner Gabourey Sidibe preferred to use the LG Kompressor Vacuums hose feature, saying “I want to use the hose! Gotta use the hose!” Actress Regina King asked someone to hold her purse, sharing “I need to focus!” as she vacuumed up the sand. Laura Dern doesn’t normally vacuum, but said she did it charity.
Actor winner Jeff Bridges said “Let’s do it. Whoa!” Best Director winner Lee Daniels asked if he was being “Punk’d” while vacuuming up the sand and Lenny Kravitz shared “When I have time, I love to vacuum!” as he vacuumed with his daughter Zoe.
Jodie Foster exclaimed “That sand is mine!” as she made sure to pick up every little grain.
The FAGE Contribution
Also on hand donating to Project:Involve, was FAGE Total Yogurt. For every celebrity who stopped by The FAGE Total 0% Yogurt Bar backstage in The Official Presenter Gift Lounge and offered up the scoop on how, where or when they FAGE, a significant contribution was made to Project:Involve! At the bar, stars enjoyed their own FAGE Total 0% Yogurt creation, adding their favorite toppings such as honey, strawberry, cherry, and peach. FAGE Total donated $50,000 on their behalf.

As what was a FAGE Total ‘virgin,’ prior to the event, Ben Mackenzie tried a serving topped with raspberries and exclaimed, “This totally passes my litmus test – I’m now a total fan!” Actress Jodie Foster was already a fan and will definitely enjoy the year supply she scooped up at the lounge.
