Lisa Rudes-Sandel Shapes Things Up With Tummy Tuck Jeans

As the common complaint in physical appearance among women is their stomach, finding a pair of jeans to fit while complimenting the mid section can be pretty tricky.  Realizing that no one was making denims to flatter this area, Lisa Rudes-Sandel set out to change how jeans were made.  With Tummy Tuck jeans, Sandel created pants to flatten a woman’s stomach all while complimenting their backside.

As the daughter of 70’s and 80’s jeans designer George Rudes, the man behind Saint Germain jeans, Sandel knows a thing or two about the industry.   With her father and sister’s help, she set out to make jeans for the average gal.  According to Sandel, “Nobody was making jeans for women.  They were either made small or were running small or they were shapeless.  I didn’t want to show my underwear every time I bent over.”

Creating her own denim company with sister Leslie in 2003 called, Not Your Daughter’s Jeans (NYDJ), Sandel invented a type of denim that wouldn’t constrict the stomach, but give it comfort and mobility. By adding 4% Lycra to the fabric, Tummy Tuck jeans constrains the stretch in the front while giving the butt a lift in the rear, allowing women to buy a size smaller than they normally would.

Hailed as the most innovative product to hit fashion and beauty industries since control top pantyhose, Tummy Tuck jeans promise to make a woman look and feel their best.  Addressing problem areas that affect women of all sizes and ages, these jeans slim the lower abdomen, eliminate love handles, contour the hips and lift the butt without the feeling of being stuffed into tight binding fabric.

As the largest domestic manufacturer of ladies jeans under $90, Tummy Tuck jeans are available in petite and plus sizes, straight and flare leg, Midnight, Dark or Light washes and several different colors.  A hit with celebrities such as Rachel Ray and Elizabeth Hasselbeck, Tummy Tuck jeans can be found at select Nordstroms, Dillards, Macy’s and Lord and Taylors.
