When you think about new media in Alaska, it may not be the first state that comes to mind. But guess what? New media Alaska is really picking up a lot of steam. This is true all over the state – not just in some of the bigger cities. Just like the rest of the country, new media is taking over where traditional methods left off. Newspapers in Alaska have always been popular for the way that they get the news out to residents in all parts of the state. Take for instance the Anchorage Daily News. Even though they still have a large presence in the state, and especially the city of Anchorage, this is beginning to die down quite a bit. It is thought that new media is eliminating jobs, but this is actually not true at all. As related industries expand, more and more new media Alaska jobs are going to open up.
