Nino Schembri, a world class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts fighter, has dreams of teaching his infamous Jiu Jitsu techniques to American students and students around the world. Considered one of the best fighters in the world, Nino Schembri shocked the world when he defeated Japan’s greatest fighter, Kazushi Sakuraba in PRIDE 25.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Antonio (Nino) “Elvis” Schembri has spent more than twenty years perfecting his style of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. By defeating some of the best fighters in the world, Nino has become a living legend within the martial arts community.
Using his Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt techniques, Nino moved on to the world wide arena of mixed martial arts (MMA) with impressive performances that eventually gave him name recognition along side Brazil’s super-star fighter, Rickson Gracie.
With Jiu Jitsu ground training at the Barra Gracie Academy with Carlos Gracie Jr. and learning stand up training at Brazil’s Chute Boxe Academy, Nino developed an all inclusive fighting style that provides aggressive Muay Thai style stand up game and an unstoppable ground attack.

Using extreme flexibility and mobility, Nino has invented and perfected such high level moves such as the Gogoplata, butterfly guard, rubber guard and the crucifix. With such advanced techniques, Nino has trained such world class fighters such as Shogun, whom was given his black belt in 2005 by Nino, and Lyoto Machida, an undefeated MMA fighter and current UFC light heavyweight champion.
