Cure in The Canyons: Pampering at its Finest for those supporting Breast Cancer Research

The winding roads twisted up and around the canyons, through fields of bright flowers and beneath the deep blue sky eventually leading to the stunning Four Seasons Hotel of Westlake Village. Sitting in the heart of the canyons this courtyard possessed crisp air and green grass soft enough to take an afternoon nap. The perfect day for this outside luxury-fest breast cancer research charity event held by Cure in the Canyons. Many Stars such as Jamie Thomas King (The Tudors), Tyron Power, Jr. (Cocoon), Blake Berris (Days of Our Lives, Carla Collins (E! Entertainment), Tammin Sursok (The Young and the Restless), and Marcellus Wiley (NFL player/ESPN) gathered to show their support for breast cancer research.

This Four Seasons (www.fourseasons.com) hotel located in the heart of Westlake Village delivers a sense of well being by accommodating an innovative spa that is surrounded by gardens and themes. This hotel is also connected to the California Health & longevity Institute (www.chli.com). This institute is dedicated to individuals and groups helping them to live healthier by offering assistance from nutritional, medical, educational, and inspirational experts. Luxury at it’s finest,  each room is completed with high ceilings, TV’s in the bathroom, and crisp linens.

The Revolution Tea Party for survivors held in the Rose Garden was hosted by Shannon Tweed & Sophie Tweed Simmons. Many celebrities such as Karina Smirnoff (Dancing w/ Stars), Brigitte Neilson (Rocky IV), Patrick Kilpatrick (Shark), Carmen Perez (Nip/Tuck), Ashlan Gorse (E! News) Vincent De Paul (Poseidon), Kristina Alfonso (Days of Our Lives), Ashley Jones (The Bold and the Beautiful), Napoleon Perdis (Celebrity Makeup Artist),  Melody Thomas Scott (The Young and the Restless), and  Kym and Jerry Douglas (The Young and the Restless) enjoyed a collection of  revolutionary tea and treats prepared by Chef Soerke Peters. All attendees were invited before and after the event to enjoy the formal tea room cabaña receiving five star service.

All attendees spent this afternoon relaxing in the heath of beauty, wellness, epicurean, and fashion at its finest. Yes, all these services were free to attendees including Yoga classes by 24 Hour Fitness (www.24hourfitness.com), Tai Messages provided by California Health & longevity Institute, Manicures, makeovers, acupuncture, and much more.

Paul Mitchell (www.paulmitchell.com), started over 26 years ago is now the largest privately held beauty company in the world. Paul Mitchell has been dedicated to the environment for over 26 years, which was the inspiring force behind the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree collection. Paul Mitchell is now in partnership with American Forests (www.americanforests.org), a non profit that preserves and grows healthier trees. Today Tea Tree will fund the planting of enough trees needed to offset all the carbon emissions released from the brands manufacturing and distribution systems. Paul Mitchell stylist gave exhilarating head and neck messages along with a fresh hair style using their Paul Mitchell Pro Tools that will last into the evening. The Mitchell stylist whipped up these glam styles with products from the Paul Mitchell Tea Tree collections:  Special, Lemon Sage, and Lavender Mint Tea Tree. Attendees were then gifted the band new product Tea Tree Firm Hold Gel and  Express Style Quick Slip Styling Cream.

Billion Dollar Brows (www.billiondollarbrows.com), a company dedicated to just eye brows offers services and products to shape the perfect eye brow. They believe in "the importance of thick, full, natural brows", not only offering products but also locations for women to receive the perfect eye brow waxing. Attendees received a waxing that not only gave them the perfect brow shape, but also delivered a relaxed, pleasant, pain-free experience. Billion Dollar Brows left the attendees with their Universal Brow Pencil that works on all skin tones and hair colors.

A makeup line that was based in Australia for 13 years and has been active in the USA for 3 years, Napolean Perdis (www.napoleanperdis.com), was started by Napoleon Perdis himself. Napolean’s concept is focused on female empowerment and individuality allowing gals to "bring their perfect look into reality".  His line includes makeup for the skin, lips, eyes, body, and nails. Napolean also offers the world’s first global makeup academy located in both Australia and the USA. This academy is perfect for students looking for a career in the beauty and fashion industries. His renowned trainees teach students how to work for the retail, fashion, and print media industries. This three week long course is extremely intensive teaching all of the know-how and essential tools of the trade.

Napolean’s profound academy trained makeup artist offered attendees face, eye, and lip makeovers. These makeovers lasted ten to fifteen minutes expressing Napolean’s concept of individuality by using the perfect shades and colors that flattered each and every attendee.    

Young Blood Mineral Makeup (www.ybskin.com), founded by Pauline Youngblood Soli worked with chemist to develop a cruelty free cosmetic that covers raw, inflamed, or discolored skin at the same time allowing this damaged skin to heal and breath. Soli’s line consist of a palette of shades including realistic skin tone finishes. Young Blood offered attendees makeovers with this renowned mineral makeup and also gifted an ambrosia colored lipstick.

Kerstin also gifted attendees her Chamomile Body Lotion.

OPI now has a second edition of the exclusive Pink of Hearts Nail Lacquer. This color is a symbol of hope, optimism, and positively. This year OPI will make a donation of $25,000 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation (cms.komen.org) and will donate $5,000 to the Rethink Breast Cancer Foundation. Attendees received a manicure with their personal choice of color and were also gifted one of OPI’s French Collection colors.

Attendees also got the pleasures of enjoying top of the line, five star food and beverage provided by Hampton’s, Onyx, Chef is Chef, Chocolates à la Carte, Dole, Revolution Tea, Glacéau, Korbel and Malibu Family Wines.
