Brian Anthony, an up and coming artist with some pretty amazing chops, shot the music video for his new song “Worked Up!” at the Fox Studio’s ‘New York Street’ lot on Sunday, September 14th.

The singer/songwriter/producer’s star is rising with two international chart-topping singles already under his belt; "Come and Get It," from the 20th Century Fox animated feature Garfield 2: Tail of Two Kitties and "WhatsitgonnaB? (I’m So Ready)," which was included on the FOX DVD release of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Among the talent featured in his video were the sweet and sexy DJs Colleen Shannon and Dimitri Hamlin. Colleen Shannon has graced PlayboyDJ Colleen Shannon Magazine with her photos, as well as being a fantastic DJ. Dimitri Hamlin is also a very talented DJ, and a friend of Brian’s.  Both artists were very excited to be working with Brian, and could be seen taking pictures with him and smiling and laughing throughout the shoot.

Also featured in the video were Paris Hilton look-alike Natalie Reid, who was sporting fabulous teal heels for the purposes of the video, and CC Perkinson (Actress, Cost of Living, TV Host).

Upon sitting down and having a brief conversation with Brian during a much-needed break for the hard working artist, we had a chance to learn about some of his past experiences with music.

When we asked what he likes about his music, he replied that it was open to be figured out by people. He liked people to be able to listen to his music and come out with their own interpretation.Brian Anthony video shoot for

After his original production of ‘Worked Up,’ he reproduced it with Chris Knox, the Canadian hip-hop director from Bionic.  He is thinking of using Chris Knox to refresh a lot of his other music as well.

We also learned more about his hit song ‘Champion,’ which charted up to #8 in China, during the Olympics, and in the commercial pop charts for Europe, had recently reached #12.

DJ Dimitri HamlinHe then commented about being in China during the 2008 Olympics, where he shot the video for ‘Champion’ on the Great Wall of China.

As for the story about ‘Champion’s’ conception, Brian stated that he had always worked with disabled children. When the company he was donating to saw he was a singer/songwriter, they asked him to produce a song for them, and that was that. He wanted the song to be imbued with a positive message about people overcoming obstacles in life.

When asked about his favorite place to perform, Brian let us know that he loves to perform anywhere, and wants to work anywhere as much as he can. He can’t wait to go on a promo tour for his music. As for his favorite experience with music, he described himself as a nerdy boy scout, saying: “There’s nothing really sexy about me.”

As a child, he would sit in private rooms by himself during lunch playing piano, and his music teachers were frustrated because he never learned to read music, only winged performances, and knew how to play by ear.

Brian still plays by ear, and enjoys the creative process the most about music: singing, writing, and producing. He likes seeing it take form and become something.
His favorite thing about Los Angeles is the ambition, the drive, and energy he sees every time he is out here. Back when he was in high school he went back and forth from Belmont to LA for acting classes. Every time he got off the plane, he was always impressed by the amount of ambition and the fast paced lifestyle that everyone lives; wowed by incredible talent that can be found all over LA.

Judging by the beats in his music and the positive reception he has received, it is fair to say that Brian Anthony is not going anywhere, and Los Angeles will be seeing a lot more of his amazing music.
