Stars Entertain in Support of the 3rd Annual Hot in Hollywood Fundraiser

America Ferrera Performs at Hot in Hollywood 

The third annual Hot in Hollywood fundraiser brought out the stars who sang, entertained and donated money for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation and Real Medicine Foundation. Hosted by America Ferrera, the evening raised over $350,000 in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Created by Michael Medico, Hot in Hollywood brought out celebrities such as America Ferrara and Ana Ortiz from “Ugly Betty” who opened the show with a performance of “Diamonds are Forever”; Neil Patrick Harris and Josh Radnor from “How I Met Your Mother” and Jessie Tyler Ferguson  from “The Class”, who performed a comedic version Peter Paul and Mary’s “Puff the Magic Dragon”;  Madeline Zima from “Californication”, who rocked out to “These Boots are Made for Walking”; and Eric Millegan and Emily Deschanel of “Bones”, who channeled their inner Sonny and Cher for “I Got You Babe”. Additional performers included, Mark Indelicato, Nadine Velazquez, Tony Plana, Gina Ravera, Glen Howerton, Bellamy Young and Elijah Kelley.

Other celebrities who showed their support included TR Knight (“Grey’s Anatomy”), Jane Lynch (“The 40-Year-Old Virgin”), Antonio Sabato Jr. (“GH: Night Shift)” and Jason Biggs (“American Pie”), who kept things lively in between musical performances and hosted an auction where Katherine Heigl (“Grey’s Anatomy”) bid $8,000 on a Jamaican vacation.

Hot in Hollywood’s original supporter from it’s inception, Jaime Pressly (“My Name is Earl”), whose uncle died from AIDS, was honored with an award for her dedication in the fight for HIV/AIDS awareness.

Neil Patrick Harris at Hot in HollywoodThe evening’s show stopping finale included a rendition of “Ain’t No Mountain High enough” by cast members from “Ugly Betty”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “ER”, “Dirty Sexy Money” and “Bones”. Other celebrities in attendance included, Amerie, Eric Martsolf, James Kyson Lee, Christian De La Fuente, Roscoe Umali, Teairra Mari, Aiden  Mitchell, Cheryl Burke, Tila Tequila, David Blue, Bai Ling and Jodi Lyn O‘Keefe.

In reaction to the overwhelming support from the many celebrities in attendance, Michael Medico stated, “I am once again stunned by the generosity of our participating talent! Each year we keep getting better and better and raising more money for our beneficiaries, I am forever grateful.”
