Bubbles, beats, and beautiful people encircled Los Angeles hot spot Opera on Wednesday, June 25 2008 for up and coming pop star Chelsea E.’s  “Greenlight Girl” exclusive album release party. Opera is known for its posh atmosphere, elite guest lists, hot events, and A-list celebrities who attend nightly, making it the ideal place for Chelsea E. to launch her highly anticipated new album.

Chris & Dave VIP Events hosted the event. Upon arrival, club goers were greeted by Chris, and whisked through a fog screen that separates the people waiting behind the velvet ropes outside, from the guests inside Opera. Once inside, delicate blown glass accents on the walls and ceiling commanded attention, while Chelsea E. gift bags were sprinkled on the tables inside the club and throughout the outdoor patio. The gift bags were glowing green – Chelsea E.’s signature color. Inside were green M&M’s, Mardis Gras beads, candles, Andes chocolates, green Trojan condoms, Chelsea E. bubbles, Chelsea E. tee shirts and the Chelsea E. brand new album, “Greenlight Girl.”

Raised and sunken dance floors are one of the highlights of this venue, while a performance stage sits in the middle of the room. Behind the stage, a VIP area is housed, where Chelsea E. and her entourage were located throughout the night. Chelsea E. looked stunning for her performance, wearing an electric green mini dress and her signature schoolgirl glasses. With the place packed, around 12:30 AM the club went dark as flashes of light from cameras in front of the stage illuminated the room.  The spotlight turned on, and Chelsea E. took to the stage. Armed with two dancers in flapper dresses (Adriani Paterson and Saleemah Knight) the music began for her first song, “Addicted.”  With a jazzy beat and horns in the background, Chelsea E. was a true temptress, channeling the sounds of the 1930s influenced by modern day sounds, and her notable perfect vocals.  The trio burned up the stage with sharp choreography, as Chelsea E. drew the crowd in with her catchy hooks.

For her second song, Chelsea E. chose to sing the title track to her album, “Greenlight Girl.”  Her glasses came off, and so did her dancers flapper dresses, as her two sidekicks stripped down to their undergarments.  “Greenlight Girl” got the crowd on their feet and dancing, the power pop song could have easily been a track the DJ was spinning that night. At the end of her performance, the girls tossed Chelsea E. tee shirts into the packed crowd, and Chelsea E. took a bow, in a sense, solidifying her place as one of the most up and coming artists in the music scene today.

There were some celebrities in attendance, at one point Lazy Bone from the legendary Bone Thugs and Harmony approached Chelsea E. to congratulate her and comment on her performance. Other celebrities confirmed to attend were:  FOX Reality’s Paradise Hotel 2 cast and crew, Cerina Vincent (“Cabin Fever,” “Not Another Teen Movie,” “Wifey”) Courtney Hansen (SPIKE TV’s “Great Builds”) Raz B of B2K, Young Buck, Darius Love, and many more.

By the end of the night, Chelsea E. had proved she was everything that she was described to be, flirty, sultry, sexy, and disarming, and brought an undeniable star quality and energy to the stage. Her beauty and talent was infectious, and this is surly just the beginning for this rising artist.
