Fashion For Life to Raise Money for Friendly House, Honors Lisa Kline

 Kristin Davis presented  last year's 2007 Vision Award to Honoree Cameron SilverLisa Kline will receive the 2008 Vision Award on Sunday May 18, 2008 at the Fashion for Life Runway Show hosted by Lisa Rinna, with DJ AM spinning during the show.

Menswear by Marc Callo will be featured at this year’s show, along with So Cal staples from Diane Samandi, Robert Rodriguez and Rory Beca and glam party looks from both Kevan Hall and Elsie Katz Couture, and Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent.

In addition, the Paige Black Label will Rock the Runway with a refined collection that includes tailored skirts, dresses, trousers, vests and jackets by Paige Adams-Gellar whose Paige Premium Denim line is already a hit among celebrities.

Fashion For Life – which began three years ago – is co-sponsored by 2007's Honoree Cameron Silver with Amber Valletta Mercedes-Benz of Beverly Hills and consistently showcases a “who’s who” of LA design talent, including Corey Lynn Calter, Suss Design, Shay Todd, Pamela Barish, Miss Davenporte, Avita, J Mary, Cosa Nostra, Susana Mercedes, Elisa Ferare, Howe, Society for Rational Dress, Robert Rodriguez, Jak and Rae and Single.

This annual showcase celebrates Los Angeles fashion while also raising funds and awareness for Friendly House, one of L.A.’s oldest community alcohol and drug recovery organizations for women.

This non-profit organization was founded in 1951 as one of the nation’s first residential homes for women who happen to be recovering from alcohol or substance abuse. Women are given full time supervision along with personalized care and support, with resources Susanna Mercedes collection on the runway at Fashion For Life 2007to begin a productive and meaningful life. With such a strong dedication to help women who want to make a commitment to recovery, no woman in crisis is turned away due to the inability to pay the residence fees. Friendly House holds a high recovery rate at 72%.
