MTV’s “The Hills'” Heidi Montag Launches “Heidiwood for Anchor Blue” Line

Heidi MontagThe Hills’ Heidi Montag has teamed up with specialty retailer Anchor Blue to launch her new clothing line, "Heidiwood for Anchor Blue."  Heidi premiered her line with a runway show at the ”Heidiwood & Highland Center". Talk about clout! The fashion show featured eight of her looks from the line and the models were the winners of the Heidi look-alike contest. The featured music was a selection from Heidi’s upcoming album. The king of celebrity gossip himself, Perez Hilton was the emcee.

Heidi, a breakout star of MTV’s reality show "The Hills", says she spent a year abroad in Italy studying apparel design. According to Heidi, she “plans to get her hands dirty on this one.

This is something I’ve always wanted to do and Anchor Blue has enabled me to be in integral part of the design process.  Every piece here will have my initial input, feedback and final approval stamped all over it." CEO Tom Sands states, "Heidi equates our lifestyle statement that the diversity of fashion lives in LA. We are thrilled she is part of our 2008 campaign and can’t wait to bring her line to our consumer."

The line is targeted for consumers ages 16-21 and is fun, sexy and affordable.
Heidiwood for Anchor BlueThe Heidiwood collection features key fashion pieces that can be dressed up for "a night on the town" or dressed down for "an afternoon at the mall." The line includes fashion tops, graphic tees, snappy shorts and skirt, jeans, her signature zebra piece and sexy dresses. The collection also includes an line of iconic handbags and stunning jewelry to complete each outfit.

The initial Heidiwood collection consists of 13 fashion pieces plus accessories. Items will range in price from $10 to $60. The spring 2008 collection is scheduled to hit Anchor Blue retail locations on April 15, 2008. The line will have its own build out and will be accompanied by other hot products from several well-known brands as well as the Anchor Blue brand.
