More than 65 SHARE ladies, representatives of facilities which SHARE supports, as well as their invited guests, came together at the Hillcrest Country Club for an Annual SHARE Funding Reception.

SHARE President Dolores Nemiro says of the reception that culminated one year of hard work and various fundraising activities, “This evening is one of our favorites.  It’s so rewarding to be able to fund these wonderful facilities.”

Thirteen different facilities will receive the money that has been raised. Among those facilities are the The Dreammaker’s Project, Team Prime Time, Exceptional Children’s Foundation, The, The Center For The Partially Sighted, The Kayne Eras Center, Stuart House, Salvin Special Education Center, SHARE’s Child Disability Center at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Ahead With Horses, Bethune Theatredance, I Have A Dream Foundation, Friends of CASA and Infinite Dreams.

Since it started in 1953, SHARE, INC. has raised more than $44 million to help “at risk” youth, the abused and the disabled as well as to support research, prevention and vocational training and independent living skills programs for children in need.

April 5th was another special day for SHARE as they sponsored the Friends of CASA “Glamour Gown” event at the L.A. Convention Center. As a special hands-on project, SHARE Ladies took part in helping young girls in foster care choose dresses and accessories for prom night.

Saturday, May 31st will mark the 55th Annual SHARE Boomtown Fundraiser with a western-themed and star-studded show that will honor American Idol Producer Nigel Lythgoe.

Headliner talent and surprise guests will take part in the special night, which will include a cocktail reception, a live and silent auction, dinner as well as a fabulous show at The Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.

In addition, SHARE Ladies will be singing and dancing at this event, produced by Gary Smith.
