Stepping into the 1987 time machine that is the Beverly Hilton, stars stopped by a gifting suite devoted to helping them get ready for the red carpets and parties of the 2008 Academy Awards. Attendees took in panoramic penthouse views of LA while exploring gifted products and treatments from the suite’s host sponsors. The TMG produced suite was presented by CUUR, a diet supplement from Sweden that naturally enhances the weight loss experience.
CUUR’s gifting package included a copy of celebrity trainer Valerie Waters’ book Red Carpet Ready, a guide on how to become and live red carpet ready. Guests included Spike Lee, Mario Lopez and his girlfriend Karina Smirnoff from Dancing with the Stars, Kevin Sorbo from Meet the Spartans, Mindy Kaling from The Office, Robbie Jones from One Tree Hill, Fernanda Romero from The Eye, Kate Kelton from Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle, Heidi Meuller and Sylvana Arias from Passions, and Lily Collins, daughter of singer Phil Collins and a reporter for Nickelodeon.

Filmmaker Spike Lee came by for a botanical hair styling appointment with Pureology, while other celebrities were particular excited by the Wushu swords gifted by The National Wushu Training Center/Impact Stunts, a Chinese martial arts training center and Hollywood stunt coordinating company. Actress/writer Mindy Kaling commented, "I just received a sword so I’m excited that I’m leaving with a weapon, which I didn’t anticipate, but I’m happy." Meanwhile actress Fernanda Romero declared, "I love it! I’m going to go kick some butt now!" and actress Kate Kelton noted that, "It literally makes me happier than anything else I’ve gotten."
During dancer Karina Smirnoff’s suite visit she was fitted for her Oscars red carpet gown by designer Diana Lu, as was ABC reporter Wendy Burch, who tried her gown on with jewelry from Kazanjian by Patrick M.
Robbie Jones from One Tree Hill received a pair of Plush Premium Denim jeans and pronounced, "Two words. Very. Comfortable."
Actress Fernanda Romero aptly summed up the celebrity gift suite experience when she commented, "The Oscar suites are always fun cause you get to chill and meet fun people and receive great new products that you get like hooked on for the future.
