The Suite Side of the Super Bowl

Cash for your car

The Super Bowl, like Sundance attracts the major scenesters and celebutantes looking to get their groove, their party and of course in true star style, their swag on. The word on the street, Main Street that is, in Sundance was that swag was a bit tricky at the recent Redford Fest as it was deemed in bad taste for celebs to inhale the freebie in light of the strike.Tom Arnold, Reebok, On 3's Gift Lounge

Of course Paris didn’t skip a beat or a suite, nor did many others, as swag and Sundance are somewhat synonymous at this point. Let’s face it every one, even the ones that have everything, loooooove a freebie.

At the recent Super Bowl in Phoenix Arizona, swag was a flowing as freely as the sponsored spirits. They took place form Phoenix to Scottsdale in a few super sweet gift suites in town. In Arizona, football was being seen, not films being screened. So, there was no shame in getting in on the game.

Here’s a sneak peak at what the playas picked up:

Hanes Down
Oscar winner and football star in film, Mr. Cuba Gooding Jr. hosted the weekend long NFL edition of the Hanes Style Villa, which was pulled together by our mate the lovely Johnny Ward of Access West Marketing and some PR punch courtesy of our pal Matt Heien of Eastside PR.

The Villa was more intimate and bouitque-y than their sprawling suite they did for the MTV VMA suite at Caesar’s, but equally as chic and an Arizona opp to check out the new Hotel Indigo & enjoy a chilled Borba and a nice big red (a double fist) in the cozy quarters with Kourtney Kardashian, Stacy Keibler, Gabrielle Union, Tom Arnold, Jamal Anderson, Vernon Davis and Michael Clarke Duncan and our swag sister in spirit Ms. Hilton.

With so many athletes and musicians on hand, it was no surprise that Christian Audigier and his fleet of brands Ed Hardy, Christian Audigier, SMET and his new Crystal Rock line, named for his daughter, came in to play. I was a big fan of the new range of belts and crystal-encrusted sunglasses.
Lindsay Condron Swimwear, which turns preppie style and daring bikinis into strange, but compelling bedfellows delivered the super sex appeal. Rocker Josh Kelly loved the suits so much that he scored some sets for his newlywed wife, Grey’s own Katherine Heigel, while perennial party girls Kim Kardashian & Paris Hilton also snapped up the skimpy suits. Fitrou and Alter Ego were other designer names that big celebs quickly became big fans of.

Pernod Spirits were the suite’s spirits of choice, neck massages by Aria Spa in Santa Barbara was the touch of choice. After a 10-minute ease, they sent every one home with a $500 gift certificate to get in on the real deal. My friend from Caribbean Escapes was there on base dishing out the hip trips of choice to the super sonic celebs. Now that’s a suite touchdown!

The Retreat Suite
To get into the Snow Queen Vodka Leather and Laces Super Bowl Party at The Galleria Corporate Center co-hosted by Carmen Electra, Catherine Bell and Roselyn Sanchez or the Saturday Night Spectacular Super Bowl Party co-hosted by John Travolta and NFL Legend Marshall Faulk, you needed to be a celebrity or spend like one to get yourself into those big games. We did not score a touchdown on a ticket, but we did score a sweep through The Retreat Gifting Suite which was produced and organized by Lunabrand.
Patti LaBelle, Dave Annabelle, Holly Robinson Peete, Regina King

This event attracted the likes of Patti LaBelle who came in with a body guard the size of Milwaukee, Paula Abdul, Dave Stacey Kiebler & Geoff Stulz, Regina King, Juliette Lewis & The Licks, Brooke Mueller (Charlie Sheen’s fiancé, whom we toasted at W Scottsdale’s coming out tailgate party), Holly Robinson Peete and Kevin Sorbo.

Veuve Clicquot champagne got us in the mood when we arrived and Electric Ladyland Boutique got us in fashion with some sick Taverniti jeans. Other fun items included a zen-set of tea essentials from the Urban Tea Loft, decadent pastries from Nothing Bundt Cakes (I am still craving them), a Zappos.com gift certificates (a girl’s best friend), conversation starting football sandals from Hot Flops, Rockband bracelets, Oral B and Parkside Dental and attorney Mark J. Kohler who offered legal advice galore through his books and CDs. Next game, Investments so I can pay to be playa!
On3—Third and Down
As minutes and hours ticked away towards the official Super Bowl Kickoff, athletes, celebs and performers ran a stylish scrimmage to with The Le Sportsac weekender in their hand through a sporty space in The Phoenix Convention Center. Here, Coach Christopher Gustafson and his ON 3 team guided celebrity players such as Tom Arnold, Nip Tucks Julian McMahon & Dylan Walsh, Lawrence Fishburne, Mary J. Blige, Nick Lachey, Jordin Sparks, Alicia Keys, Paula Abdul & others through the stylish On3 suite.

Paula Abdul, Sara Evans, On 3's Gift Lounge

For the body, the suite offered three months of the NutriSystem meal plan delivered to your home sure to deliver some serious changes in the Hollywood bod. That was accompanied by a membership to Gold’s Gym, custom-fitted Luxotica shades to shield the winner’s eyes from the spotlight’s glare, a stunning selection of products from the Garnier Fructis Style Bar (hand selected by New York stylist Brian Magallones who we loved!!!) and Invicta Watches, for those times when every stylish second on the clock counts.

For the manly thick skin, there were Zirh Men’s grooming products, Pro-Flowers, so players could thank their moms or think of their lady friends with style, Ultimate Ears earphones and Ugg Boots for post-games when you need to step out in some serious style. Of course, the icing on this game’s cake was the limited edition Super Bowl gear from Reebok to complete the game day.

It was win win for any player that pulled in to town.
