Music is Part of the Equation at Sundance

When you think of Sundance you automatically think of movies, however at LIVEStyle’s Top of Main during the film festival’s weekend, it was all about the music. As In 2 it Media presented the "I’m with the Band" event, top names in the entertainment industry hopped on stage and rocked out.

Dot Dot Dot at Top of Main 

On Sunday, January 20th, Dot Dot Dot from FOX TV’s "The Great American Band" held a celebrity jam session with recognizable faces such as Shar Jackson, who joined him on stage with a few of her friends to belt out Joan Jett’s "I Love Rock n Roll."

A special performance by Will.I.Am of the Black Eyed Peas and Lil Jon followed, along with a performance by Entourage’s Adrian Grenier’s band The Honey Brothers.

 

Enjoying the eclectic mix of performances were Slash, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Dennis Quaid, NHL hockey legend Luc Robitaille, Tom Arnold, DB Sweeney, Michael Rosenbaum, Amber Stevens and more.

The next evening, Dot Dot Dot was joined by Benji Madden of Good Charlotte who sang Outfield’s "Your Love," and thenThe Bravery’s drummer Anthony Burulchich joined the band to sing his version of Journey’s "Don’t Stop Believin." Afterwards, brothers Benji and Josh Madden kept the music pumpin’ with a special DJ set that lasted until 5 a.m.

Shar Jackson with Ed Hardy sneakersPrior to these festivities, the Top of Main hosted a little swag give away on Saturday night which saw Dennis Quaid and his wife picking out matching his-and-hers Ed Hardy skull embossed sneakers, courtesy of PSDIUSA that matched their corresponding skull t-shirts.

Entertainment was provided by DJ Paul Oakenfold who played a special set for a star-studded crowd at the U2 3D Premiere Party while drinking Function Drink’s prickly pear Urban Detox drink to keep himself energized.

The guest list Saturday night included Colin Farrell, Mary Kate Olsen, Danny Masterson, Will.I.Am, Shar Jackson, Sir Ben Kingsley and Eliza Dushku.
