Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Universal CityWalk’s Free Outdoor Bash

Don’t have plans for New Year’s Eve yet. Not to worry, Universal CityWalk has plenty for you to do. As Southern California’s largest, free outdoor New Year’s Eve Countdown Bash, this event will offer non-stop entertainment in anticipation of the clock striking midnight.

The festivities will begin at 9 p.m. on December 31st with DJs spinning music from Universal’s iconic globe and Cinema Plaza. Then at 10 p.m. the popular 80’s cover band, Fast Times will rock out on the main stage, creating an unforgettable dance party on the street which will lead up to the countdown.

As the gathered crowd watches the ball drop during the global countdown from New York City Times Square, fireworks will blast off and confetti will blanket the masses at midnight.

If you want to get more out of this already entertaining New Year’s Eve celebration, CityWalk’s many exciting nightspots including B.B. King’s Blues Club, Café Tu Tu Tango, Hard Rock Café, Howl at the Moon, Jillian’s Hi-Life Lanes, Rumba Room and Saddle Ranch Chop House will be offering drink and live entertainment specials exclusively for New Year’s Eve. 

In addition, the Gibson Amphitheatre will be featuring the Chris Brown and Bow Wow concert with Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy and Shop Boyz on December 31st.

If you can’t wait till the 31st to start the party, Universal CityWalk will offer daily concerts from December 26th – December 30th beginning at 7:30 p.m. Performers scheduled to take to the mainstage are The Pipers Down, Ayre, Go Betty Go, Paper Back Hero and Anastasia.
