Jason DussaultEvery generation needs a rebel, and in the world of fashion edgy, Canadian designer Jason Dussault is breaking all the rules with his urban hipster apparel and forward thinking philosophy. Fans of the signature brand are screaming “More, more, more!” and with two recent openings in LA and NYC, the new look of cool is definitely Dussault.

Live Dussault
As brazen as flashing a switchblade, Dussault Apparel has become an overnight sensation for a generation that changes personal identity like the play lists on their Ipod. Combining an eclectic blend of rockabilly, bad boy charm with an eco-conscious and distinctive flair for detail and quality, the Dussault line for men and women is as much about statement as it is about lifestyle.

Defining Cool
What was cool fifty years ago is still cool today. This bombshell discovery made by Jason Dussault, founder, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of Dussault Apparel, has launched a premium line of hoodies, T-shirts and jeans reminiscent of the original rebels with a contemporary, uncompromising twist of urban chic.

Influenced by classic films such as Nicolas Ray’s “Rebel Without a Cause,” Walter Hill’s “The Warriors,” and S.E. Hinton’s “The Outsiders,” along with sinister Rob Zombie themes, and a snowboarder’s attitude, Dussault is the only brand of its kind. Eclectic, urban, yet comfortable, Dussault launches casual cool from the dingy days of grunge, and is made to wear anywhere.

Dussault’s Mission Statement
“Our mission is to design, develop, manufacture, market, distribute and sell distinctive and innovative products that redefine luxury in the fashion world. From our premium high fashion hoodies, denim jeans and tops, to our urban apparel and accessories, every element we create intends to redefine the luxury experience, and to fulfill the lofty desires of affluent, fashion-conscious customers worldwide,” says Jason Dussault.

Teaming up with the Stars
Gene Simmons, Jason Dussault

Adding star power to the already powerhouse brand, is none other than bad boy of rock, Gene Simmons. His loyalty to the fashion line has catapulted the name recognition of Dussault and their collaboration has launched the ‘Money Bag’ line that features his designs on tees and leather accessories.

Jason Dussault is all about mining creativity, and other partnerships include Todd MacFarlane of Spawn comics, and jewelry and accessories by Malcolm Norman of Bloodline Design and Haida artist James Adkins.

Other celebrities sporting the Dussault brand are famed illusionist Criss Angel of “Mind Freak,” Carmelo Anthony, Rob Zombie, Nellie Furtado, and pro skateboarder Tony Alva.

Carbon Conscious
Dussault Melrose Ave. signNever one to be style without substance, Dussault is committed to being the world’s first carbon neutral apparel company. Raising awareness for global warming, Dussault has teamed up with energy reducing organization, Carbonfund.org, to create the brand’s Carbon Conscience initiative.
Dussault comments, "It is no secret the environment is in desperate need of our attention. In a world with conflicting information from the media, it can be difficult to find the facts. We at Dussault Apparel feel a responsibility to help make a difference. This is the reason why we created the awareness and fundraising program called Carbon Conscience. Inspired by the ideologies of Carbonfund.org, this is a project we all feel good about. I have designed a line of t-shirts and rings that echo our environmental stand. 100% of the profits from these items will be donated towards reducing the carbon footprint we all leave on our planet. After all, we all have to live with our conscience.”
Energy Reducing Pledge
With the assistance of Carbonfund’s Carbon Free Product Certification Protocol, Dussault determined its carbon dioxide emissions and reduced its energy usage.  Examining the greenhouse gas effect emitted from the life cycle of each item has also led to further reduction in emissions. All products and the manufacture of the clothing line along with distribution are reviewed annually in Dussault’s continual pledge to preserve the environment. Tags and soy-based dyes are made from up to 100% recycled paper.

Further steps have already been implemented at the flagship store on Melrose, providing recyclable shopping bags and detailed material outlining the mission of the Carbon Conscience Program.

Dussault takes the challenge of going green seriously, and all net profits from carbon conscious T-shirts and CARBON rings are donated to Carbonfund.org. All donations will help the many energy reducing projects of the organization. Wearing Dussault means more acres of new trees planted annually, the donation of fluorescent lights to low income families, and educational programs to further the message and need for conservation.
Carbonfund.org
"We are thrilled to have Dussault Apparel step up to be the very first apparel company to offer Certified CarbonFree products," said Steve Offutt, Chief Operating Officer at Carbonfund.org. "Their leadership on climate change sets an example for others to follow, and we thank them for joining us in our mission to fight global climate change."

Carbonfund.org works with over 150 companies such as Dell Computers, Earth Day Network, Lancôme Cosmetics, and the National Wildlife Federation to help reduce carbon emissions. Increasingly high carbon emissions are one of the biggest threats to the world today, and have contributed to global warming. Using cost-effective strategies, companies like Dussault and other eco-conscious brands can make a difference and give green back to the world. Carbonfund has offices outside of Washington, D.C. and San Francisco.

Dussault Hoodies
One of the most popular items, the Dussault hoodies are dark and dangerous on the outside, but pure luxury on the inside. Street worthy but perfect to wear at any hot spot, these hoodies for men and women are lined with silk and accented with tattoo inspired artwork on the back. Skulls, lions, flames or a bloody cleaver toting panda give these hoodies an edge, but without sacrificing quality. These hoodies keep the chill off, but the cool on. Prices start at $295.

Dussault Denim
Beatnik and weathered to last, Dussault denim offers jeans fit for a rock star. Accented with detailed hardware and back pocket stitching design, the men’s denim is stylish and durable. The ladies denim line is as slim as a cigarette, and smoking hot too. Unlike most jeans that are trendy today, gone tomorrow, Dussault denim is designed to last. All those other jeans are just posers. Affordable and very chic, these jeans are competitively priced from $199 on.

Dussault T-Shirts
In touch with today’s global reality, Dussault tees are eco-friendly and designed for the forward thinking hipster. Using bamboo instead of cotton, these tees are soft on the skin and on carbon emissions. Saving the earth doesn’t mean scrimping on style though, and these T-shirts raise the bar with tasteful designs and attention to shape. Using burn effected detail updates the classic look with a modern edge. Fit to form, Dussault T-Shirts are ready to wear alone and stylish to wear almost anywhere. Snap one up for $65.

The New Name in Cool
There are plenty of trendy posers, but Dussault has cornered the new image of cool. Be an original with Dussault Apparel. It’s time to make fashion more than just style, it’s a lifestyle.
