Duane Chapman, aka Dog The Bounty Hunter is facing his own woes now. His own son, Tucker, one of his 12 children, who is part of the cast on the show of the same name, recorded a conversation between him and his father, and sold it to the National Enquirer. In the conversation, Dog apparently used the "N" word, in reference to his son’s girlfriend, who is African-American, appearing on the show.

"In evaluating the circumstances of the last few days, A&E has decided to take ‘Dog The Bounty Hunter’ off the network’s schedule for the foreseeable future," an A&E spokesman said.

He said no decision had been made to cancel the program, which is shown in more than 10 countries, and the network will review the situation again in a couple of weeks.

Honolulu-based Duane Chapman, 54, who rose to fame after capturing the Max Factor heir and serial rapist Andrew Luster in Mexico in 2003. Chapman who has always claimed to be a devout Christian, has apologized for using the epithet "n—–" and vowed to do whatever he can to repair the damage."

The spokesman from A&E said no decision had been made to cancel the program, which is shown in more than 10 countries, and the network will review the situation again in a couple of weeks.

"We hope that Mr. Chapman continues the healing process that he has begun."
