DAY 5: Dubrovnik, Croatia
Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever visited. The old city is surrounded by a 40 foot wall that was built to protect it from enemies past. On top of the wall is a pathway which allows visitors to walk around the entire city and view it from above.
Between the stunning architecture of the city and the panoramic views of the sea, it seemed that every other second on the wall was a photo opportunity. We walked around the entire wall which took us about 3 hours. The trek was quite strenuous because of the heat but it was well worth it. By the time we were finished, we were starving. We went into town and had some pizza before exploring the city from the ground. After lunch we walked around through the narrow winding streets and did some shopping with the occasional stop to take a photo of one of the many cathedrals Dubrovnik had to offer. By 4pm we were exhausted so we headed back to the ship.
That evening’s entertainment was a vocal performance by Amy Armstrong. Not only is Amy a very talented singer, she’s also hilarious. The show was half song and half comedy and we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
