Downtown Burbank will be the foodies’ dreamland on Thursday Sep 27 from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm during the Taste of Burbank, 2007. Delicious bites from all over the world will be available at what is touted to be one of the biggest outdoor festivals on San Fernando Valley. Taste of Downtown Burbank will feature more than 30 restaurants including many hot favorites and exciting new kids on the block. No matter what your taste buds crave, this outdoor festival will cater to all palates – Thai, Indian, Greek, Italian, Japanese, you name it. It will be topped off with great live music performances by known bands and the ever popular Beer and Wine Garden sponsored by Gordon Biersch and Market City Café.

Proceeds
The Taste of Burbank benefits a really wonderful cause – the Burbank Community YMCA scholarship fund, which makes the YMCA’s programs affordable to the entire community.

Restaurants
Think of this event as a food theme park. Whether you fancy Butternut Squash Ravioli from Pomodoro Cucina Italiana, Thai ginger salad from Granville, Baby Back ribs from Smokin’ Jack’s or Jambalaya from Elephant Bar, you’ll find it and more at Taste of Downtown Burbank.  And if your sweet tooth’s craving, check out the Pecan Praline ice blends from Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, kiwi rolls from Octopus Japanese Restaurant or scrumptious Oreo cookie dessert pizzas from Domino’s. It’s a feast for your eyes and your palate!

Live Performances
This year’s highlight will be two electrifying musical performances, contemporary jazz with Lao Tizer at 5:30pm and the jump ‘n jive stage show of Stompy Jones at 7:30pm. Lao Tizer won the National Smooth Jazz Award’s “Best New Artist of the Year.” While Stompy Jones are famous for their foot-tapping and explosive numbers that will set the evening on fire!

Venue
Taste of Downtown Burbank happens outdoors on San Fernando Boulevard between Magnolia and Orange Grove and is presented by the Downtown Burbank Partnership as a benefit for the Burbank Community YMCA.
