Shot on location in Brooklyn, this independent film is a 180-degree turn away from the drama of The Sopranos, taking a comedic look at life and times of a bunch of wise-guy “gumbas” living in one of New York’s most famous boroughs.
Produced by Jon Sheinberg (The Machine) and Malek Akkad (Paranormal Films), four short stories are weaved together to form a narrative whole that intends to capture the essence of the area synonymous with tough guys, that accent, Saturday Night Fever, and a lot of gold jewelery.
It marks the directorial debut of Soprano’s star, Sharon Angela, and features several alumni cast members including Richard Portnow, Vince Curatola, Michael Rispoli, Danny Grimaldi and John Enos.
