Jane Emery, Bindy Irwin, Terri IrwinThe 2007 Annual Kids’ Choice Awards held a Gift Suite worthy of its 20 year celebration! In Hollywood, before each awards show appreciation is shown to the presenters, performers, and VIPs of the Television, Movie and Music Industries by presenting them with gifts of thanks. These gifts are always the latest and greatest products on the market. Often times reaching their hands before ours. And this time was no different. There was a wonderful turnout at this years 20th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards Talent Gift Lounge, held on Saturday March 31st, which featured an array of items ranging from chic fashions and high tech electronics, to delectable edibles and much more!

The lounge theme this year was “ 20 Fabulous Gifts to Celebrate 20 Amazing Years of Kids’ Choice.” With that in mind, the one and only, Distinctive Assets was chosen to create the lavish gift lounge for the most fun and unique award show in town. Known for assembling the crème de la crème of gifts for major network shows such as the GRAMMY Awards, Latin GRAMMY Awards, the American Music Awards, and the Academy of Country Music Awards, Lash Fary and his team of dedicated professionals were the obvious choice to create a gift suite sure to capture the playfulness of this show. Partner company, J. Gatsby Events succeeded at the task of designing a perfect setting in which to grab the goodies, by transforming the Pauly Pavilion at UCLA into Spongebob Squarepants’ underwater home, also known as, Bikini Bottom.

Starting off the day of giving was Reebok who partnered up with the charity, Soles for Souls, to donate gift packs of shoes to special children in need, in each the gift recipient’s name. Bringing them closer to their goal of being able to “ change the world one pair at a time with the gift of shoes.” Reebok recently donated 2,000 pairs of sneakers to Sudanese refugees through the Soles 4 Souls organization, which provides footwear to people in need.

The wonderful Christine Price was there modeling and gifting her trendy tees designed for both moms and their tots, as well as, denim bags from her adorable Haute Moms collection.  She also displayed her exclusive spring line of designer diaper bags. This casual yet glam line is perfect for Hollywood’s on-the-go moms and their bundles of joy.

A perfect topper for those haute tees were the hip hoodies provided by Kimora Lee and Russell Simmons lines, BabyPhat and PhatFarm Boys. Hip-hop met urban luxury with the design of the girls’ and women’s’ red fitted hoodie. Embellished with the famous slinky feline logo in eye catching gold, and finished with details such as puff sleeves, these were definitely a must have item. Likewise, the zip- up jackets from the PhatFarm Boys’ and Men’s’ collection where just as cool. With an Urban meets Ivy League feel the otherwise conservative navy jacket was updated with graffiti style writing and a little bling courtesy of swarovski crystals. They were what I call “ Off the chizain yo!

Glamour Campaign founded by hot-on-the scene designer Fred Naggar provided unique statement making pieces for all. Sexy, formfitting, and edgy are just some of the words to describe the shorts, vests, jackets, and hoodies, that were adorned with studded lightening bolts and skulls. Glamour Campaign can be found at the  shopping hotspot Kitson, but your timing has to be good as his pieces sell out fast!

Continuing the skull theme was the jewelry designer Marnie Greenwood. Her line, Marnie Rocks created a signature “ Naughty and Nice” necklace featuring a heart and skull design, made from turquoise, specifically for the awards show.

Handbags designed by Elliot Lucca were a huge favorite among the crowd. These gorgeous, sophisticated, leather gems were given away in this seasons of-the-moment color, white.

T- shirts and polo’s embroidered with the “WR “logo were most popular.

Taking care of the techies were Coby Electronics, Netflix, and Logitech. After all, it wouldn’t be a truly awesome gifting suite without some high-tech electronics. Coby gave suite VIPs the choice of one of the following: a portable MP3 boom box, a portable DVD/CD/MP3 player with a 7” swivel screen or a MP93 high-output amplified stereo speaker system. Not bad, hey? Logitech, known for their specialization in peripherals, kept it simple, and gave away their Interactive 2.0 Speaker System.
