Sharon Stone, Kelly Stone and William Shatner will be honored at the 2007 Rick Weiss Humanitarian Awards.  Held on April 14 in Rancho Mirage, California, these honorees, along with Foundation Founder Earl Greenburg are being rewarded for their tireless charity efforts throughout the year.

The black tie event, now in its 9th year, will be held at the Westin Mission Hills Resort and is underwritten by Guthy-Renker and Wells Fargo, among others.  The Gala is preceded by a golf tournament held at Porcupine Creek.  Presented by the Greenburg Family Foundation as a tribute to the late partner of Earl Greenburg, Rick Weiss, the proceeds from this event now help support many Coachella Valley and Southern California charities including Project New Hope, Desert AIDS Project, American Heart Association, AIDS Assistance Project, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and many others.

Honorees have included Sidney Poitier, Eric and Janet McCormack, Priscilla Presley, Sherry Lansing, Leeza Gibbons, Mary Hart, Larry King, Judith Light, Magic Johnson and Dr. Stuart Siegel.  Last year’s honorees were Berry Gordy and Cure Autism Now Founders Jon Shestack and Portia Iversen.  Congresswoman Mary Bono serves as the Honorary Chairperson.

An award will also be presented to the SAG Foundation at the event.  Other guests include Mary Hart, Senator Barbara Boxer and Senator Norm Coleman.  In addition to the dinner and awards ceremony, a cocktail reception, silent auction and after party will he held.
