The Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre is the next stop for Reginald Rose’s national tour of the classic play "Twelve Angry Men."  Running from March 28 through May 6, this version boasts Richard Thomas and George Wendt in starring roles.

Directed by Scott Ellis, this acclaimed Roundabout Theatre production received Tony nominations for Best Revival and Best Direction.  Filling out the rest of the touring cast for "Twelve Angry Men" is Charles Borland, Todd Cerveris, T. Scott Cunningham, Julian Gamble, Jeffrey Hayenga, David Lively, Alan Mandell, Randle Mell, Mark Morettini, Patrick New and Jim Saltouros.

Receiving extraordinary reviews in every city this production has played, "Twelve Angry Men" is sure to be at hit in Los Angles as well.

"As if shot from a cannon, ‘Twelve Angry Men’ rattles the eardrums and practically barrels down the aisles….in this crackling, short-fused incarnation of the 1950s jury-room drama, the actors don’t so much deliberate as detonate….for 90 vein-popping minutes, the men bellow, sob, snarl, plead, sputter, grandstand and ball their fists as they go to war over the fate of a teenage murder suspect who in a variety of revealing ways gets under the skin of each of them….is this any way to run a justice system?  On stage, it is!,"  Peter Marks, Washington Post.

"…the power of a master craftsman such as Rose is undeniable….production values are first rate…Original helmer Scott Ellis has done a splendid job in his casting, assembling a director’s dozen of specific, nuanced and memorable perfs,"   Frank Rizzo, Variety (New Haven).

"The verdict is in – and it’s a unanimous huzzah….the razor-sharp ensemble is headed by Richard Thomas as Juror Eight, an architect whose lone stand for ‘reasonable doubt’ forces others to reconsider, and George Wendt as Juror One and the jury foreman….Randle Mell stands out as Juror Three," Charles Whaley, The Courier-Journal (Louisville, Kentucky).
