It’s time to head to the birthplace of America’s best music, Memphis, Tennessee, for “Seven Days of Soul.”  This summer the city of Blues, Country, R&B, Gospel, Jazz, and Rock ‘n’ Roll will celebrate 50 Years of Soul.  During this seven day festival in June, music fans will be given the opportunity to visit some of music’s most inspiring attractions including the STAX Museum and the Royal Studio. The Stax Museum is a mecca of influential music and has over 2,000 cultural artifacts from icons such as Isaac Hayes, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, Rufus Thomas, and the Staple Singers dating back to 1957.  And the Royal Studio is a working studio that is responsible for recordings from the famous Al Green and talented Ann Peebles.

At the end of the week, the celebration will end in true style with Concord Records hosting a huge concert in the city featuring contemporary and legendary Stax artists.  Performers already signed on include Isaac Hayes and Booker T & the MGs, with more to come.
