What do you get when you gather more than a dozen dazzling divas in a room? How about if you add a scrumptious gourmet menu and a stylish, fashionable purse filled with a bevy of goodies? No, not a knock-down-drag-out catfight worthy of a Daytime Emmy. Instead, you’ll witness good friends gathering for a glamorous celebration, and it’s called A Very Hip Luncheon.
Hosted by Judi Evans from ?Days of Our Lives?, A Very Hip Luncheon brought together daytime stars from ?Days of Our Lives?, ?Passions?, and ?The Young and the Restless?. But Rachel Melvin, Kam Heskin, Kate Linder, Julie Pinson, Danica Stewart, Eve Tamargo, Michelle Stafford, Cathy Jeneen Doe, Shayna Rose, Silvana Arias, Brenda Dickson, Heidi Mueller, Roberta Leighton, Sharon Case, and Annie Burgestede aren’t just pretty faces on TV – these gal pals know how to have a good time together.
Of course, it didn’t hurt that Executive Chef Irving Medina of the widely praised Colors on Bedford restaurant in Beverly Hills provided a cornucopia of delicious bites, starting with appetizers such as smoked salmon blinis, mini crab cakes, mushrooms stuffed with spinach and ricotta, and followed with portobello mushroom soup.
The main course didn’t disappoint either. The divas yearning for something substantial yet light could go for the New York steak salad with Napa greens, Toy Box tomatoes, and shaved Tuscan melon in an orange ginger vinaigrette. Chef Medina presented an enticing alternative to red meat too: roasted free-range chicken breast with Cipolline onions, asparagus, and black-eyed peas.
The ladies made sure to save some room for dessert, and they were rewarded with Chef Medina’s astounding bomba: a raspberry, mango, and passion fruit sorbet, engulfed in white chocolate and served with cookies. Sharon Case and Rachel Melvin were so impressed that they planned to host all their parties at Colors on Bedford.
The beautiful guests weren’t the only ones contributing to the luncheon’s hip factor – the Bisadora Hip Purse upped the “hip” ante too.
