SalsaChampionships_logo.jpgSalsa dancing has taken off as an international phenomenon. Competitors from more than 20 countries on six continents are set to compete in the 2nd annual World Salsa Championships held at the Las Vegas new South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa, on December 13-16. The pool of championship qualifiers were drawn from official championship dance competitions from such locations as far away as New Zealand, Korea, Sweden, Turkey, China and other countries not generally recognized for Salsa dancing.

Albert Torres, renowned salsa celebrity and leader of The Salsa Seven Inc. (a group of salsa lovers committed to producing the most memorable dance event in the history of Salsa Music) is presenting this event. He has an unstoppable drive to educate the public on salsa and says, “salsa dancing is becoming a revolution. Where previously this was a Latin obsession, it is now transcending all demographics, nationalities and national boundaries. We’ve seen the popularity of salsa dancing in TV Shows including So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars and now the public can come and view live professional salsa dancers and witness the results of the global fever of salsa dancing in this championship event.”
