Kristin ChenowethYou may not know the Surly Girl line by name, but you certainly know it by sight. These playful but sophisticated clutches and bags have been mainstays of the red carpet and on TV series such as "Desperate Housewives" and "Arrested Development". Eva Longoria, Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Nicolette Sheridan, Britney Spears, Rachel Hunter, Christina Milian, Portia de Rossi, Hilary Duff, Joely Richardson are just a few of the many stars who’ve been spotted with these stylish accessories. Fashion editors love them too. The entire range of Surly Girl collections is now available at the flagship boutique on the glamorous Robertson Boulevard in Beverly Hills, across the street from the world-famous Ivy Restaurant. Multiple boutique locations across the United States also carry the Surly Girl line. Check their website for more listings.

Alison Muh, the original Surly Girl, launched the line in 2003 after an ill-advised stint on Wall Street. She not only survived the ordeal, she turned her true passion and inner surliness into a new career with the help a sparkly, hot pink briefcase.

Surly_Girl.jpgAfter her bags started showing up on high-profile TV shows and media luminaries, demand for them skyrocketed. Thus, the store front was born. In addition to Surly’s signature bags, the shop offers Surly wallets, loungewear, belts, Swarovski jewelry, and soy candles.

So next time someone calls you a Surly Girl, be proud. If the glamorous, fun, and sexy Surly Girl bags are any indication, you have nothing to be ashamed of.
