Have fun with your children and teach them the value of giving back at the same time. The Los Angeles-based Child’s Play, an activity and enrichment center for kids, will be hosting A Season For Charity, a family fundraising event on December 8, 2006 to benefit the Save the Children foundation.
Families with children aged two and up are all invited. Hosted by comedian Sunda Croonquist, the event will feature performances by some of the young names in Hollywood. Actors from The Disney Channel, Nickelodeon, and upcoming movies will be in attendance along with local business supporters. Expected performers are Music ‘N Me, young comedian Sydney Park, members of Hollywood Hooligans, including Scout Taylor Compton, Kallie Flynn Childress, and many more.
The show will raise money for the Save the Children Organization, and celebrate the act of giving during the holiday season. The Save the Children Organization helps create better futures for children in need and break the cycle of poverty. Save the Children’s activities support in-school, out-of-school, and summer programs to help provide children in the most impoverished and remote communities with a chance at college, a career, and a ticket out of poverty.
This event is open to the public and all proceeds will go to the Save the Children Foundation.
Child’s Play Children’s Activity and Enrichment Center caters to both working parents and their children. Created in 2001 by a mother and daughter team who were both working mothers, Child’s Play understands the need for quality child care in Los Angeles, and they are drastically changing the face of daycare to provide more than just a daytime babysitter. Unlike your normal daycare, parents can engage in aerobics classes, pole dancing, salsa and more. These classes provide parents with the endurance to keep up with their active little ones. They also give parents a much-needed night out by providing babysitting until 11pm once a month. Childs Play is known for their one-of-a-kind private birthday parties, and they will work with you and provide the ultimate party needs to give your child their dream birthday.
