Yet another piece of Hollywood was lit up in beauty and glamour in Kami Shade’s “LA Fashion Week INVADES Hollywood” fashion show, held last Friday, Oct. 20 at the Loggio Rooftop restaurant.Amidst elegant dining and a view overlooking the Hollywood Walk of Fame, more than 50 of the latest designs and styles by some of today’s most prominent designers were presented to a very special select audience at this private event, sponsored by corporate and Hollywood majors such as Franco+Russe, twoSPACE, and the Lifetime channel.
The first fashions on the floor were presented by U.S. Male, with designs ranging from rugged looks with light jeans, white shirts and matching jackets to much more revealing pieces coming in the form of the latest swimwear designed for the casual, outgoing man. Before an eager and anxious audience, male models also distributed envelopes bearing the clothing line’s company “US Male” to captive audience members admiring the view. However, as soon as the men stepped off the runway, the ladies took to the floor, sporting outfits representing the latest and greatest trends of Hollywood today, created by companies such as US Ladies, among others. Each outfit was presented in a variety of sizes and colors, such as a long blue-turquoise dress (ideal for a formal event) of which another version was shown later in a shorter, much more revealing design, fit for anyone for a night on the town.
Other designs featured embroidered gold, silver and flower patterns running down the middle of an outfit or shown within the midriff of a dress, usually a one-piece. And just as it was for the men, a long line of swimwear also came out for the women, ranging from short, revealing bathing suits in colors ranging from a baby blue two-piece, to a one piece red and white polka dot bathing suit which captured much of the crowd’s attention, with many of the bathing suits worn with matching handbags and other accessories.
Guests also had the opportunity to purchase many of the products worn on the runway, which have also been shown major TV networks such as NBC, MTV, BET, Fox, TV Guide and others. Shortly after the models finished their walk on the runway, the runway itself was quickly dismantled and a satisfied, upbeat crowd took center stage with dinner and dancing for the remainder of the night.The models were prepared and coordinated under the professional guidance of Fashion Event Coordinator Parris Harris, and launched before a full house of elite guests. When asked about feelings for the show overall and of any difficulties, Harris replied “As always it was lovely madness .. Beautiful bright delicious red apples on a tree so high up ..You have to reach and reach and reach again…reach and reach. And then Bam you got it You eat it and its a best apple ever ….” Indeed, Kami Shade’s presentation was truly a show of beauty, glamour and elegance in one of America’s most energetic towns.
