From behind the concrete walls that separated the chic scene from the generic parking lot, pounding music suggested a party was in the works. It was still early and people were arriving few and far between. The free drinks from 9-10:00 were not enough to lure this affluent crowd to join the music so early. The evening was about image and style. And that image begins at a fashionably late entrance, but not so late as to miss the cameras on the miniature red carpet.?

As 10 approached small crowds appeared and it became clear that this was time for a la mode arrivals. 
Those there to promote themselves or the Candice Held Collection waited their turn to strike a pose or two or three. Most women posing showed off the Candice Held vintage scarf dress. No two of Held?s dresses were exactly the same, but with each the minimalist style seemed to only barely ?Held? together by one or two knots around a scarcely covered back. Over all they held a pleasant semi-formal vintage elegance.

The party started, and DJ Carlos Ramirez aka Dj RC Ramirez came down from the VIP room to join the parade. Carlos stood out in his pimp suit and bowler hat. 
But perhaps what stood out more was his likeness to his twin brother Efren who played Pedro in Napoleon Dynamite. Ramirez enthusiastically showed off the sponsored drinks of the night; Pinky, and Cocaine. Pinky is a new all natural designer Vodka which gets its pink tint from rose petals and lavender. Cocaine (the energy drink) is also pink, but for no apparent reason other than to look like electric caffeine is streaming out of the 250mL can.?

Most well received of the guests were The Sugar Blush Beauties led by actress Rachel Sterling. The four lady dance quartet was to perform their sexy moves as the highlight of the evening.
Meanwhile the party was starting, some danced, and some relaxed on one of the many leather couches while slowly becoming tipsy. Waitresses hurried about to bring drinks and offer appetizers of streak, fried shrimp, chicken, and green beans, all conveniently served on a stick. Few were interested in the appetizers, and ever fewer interested in the miniature cupcakes served for dessert. Slowly the crowd became tipsy. Some tried to have conversations, which proved hard with the volume of music. Still alive the party rested to enjoy and feast their eyes upon the Sugar Blush Beauties risqu? performance.
Though designer Candice Held kept out of sight most the evening, the people and the dresses held together with alcohol, music and a sexy show.
