Knott__s_Scary_Farm_1.jpgEvery year, as October begins its haunting descent, visitors flock from all parts of the country to southern California. They are coming to visit one of the world?s foremost theme parks during the month of October. They are coming to have fun. They are coming to laugh with their families. But most importantly, they are coming to scream? and not at the size of the line for ?It?s a Small World?, either.
These people are coming to visit Knott?s Scary Farm, the world?s biggest and best Halloween scare-fest. Around October of every year, thousands of people work together to turn Knott?s Berry Farm theme park into a hauntingly scary park featuring over 1,000 live ghouls and ghosts roaming the park and more than 10 huge walk-through attractions that will make even the most iron-willed of people gasp in fright.

Another highlight to the yearly fright fest are the amazing shows that Knott?s and its talented team of actors work so diligently to put together every year.
At the foremast of these is the classic and longest running of these shows entitled ?The Hanging?, which every year makes fun of pop culture figures and events, killing various media and TV icons in humorous ways, culminating in The Hanging, in which the most annoying celebrity, deemed most annoying by audience vote, is hung from the gallows.
Knott__s_Scary_Farm_3.jpgFeaturing high flying stuntmen and amazing fight sequences between some of your favorite movie heroes and horrific villains, this show itself is worth the price of admission. However, for those not interested in the stunt show, there are many other shows to choose from, feeding every persons appetite, from the non gory comedy to the straight out disgusting.
Voted ?The Best Halloween Event in the World? in 2005 by Amusement Today, Knott’s Scary Farm is celebrating its 34th year in business this October. Ticket prices are $44 if you buy tickets ahead of time or $49 at the door. For those who want to expand on the event, Knotts offers a variety of ?Pre Scare dinners? for only $12.95-$15.95 more than the ticket price which includes dinner and early entry to the park. This is only available by reservation for ticket holders. If interested in this dinner, please call (714) 220-5055. For the younger ones who want some halloween adventures without having to worry about getting too scared, Knott’s has transformed Knott’s Camp Spooky into a full-on pirate party including trick or treating, a maze and themed entertainment all geared for ages 3-11. Camp Spookys Treasure Hunt runs during the day, and young bucaneers get all the nessacary pirate equipment, including a hat, scarf, eye patch, some pirate “bling” and lots of treats. Admission to this part of the park is included with daytime admission. So, if you are in the mood for a scare this October, head up to Knott?s, you will not be disappointed.
