The Australian model, dancer and TV personality (now thanks to the popular reality show) has been dancing since the age of two and knows the importance of hair extensions in her career.

“We wear them on the show, so I’ve always been involved with wearing them…they thought I might like to help promote [the hair extension line], and it has been so much fun, because I wear it on the show a lot, and I also wear it myself in my everyday life,” Johnson told LA’s The Place about her role in the “Dancing with the Stars” hair collection. “I’m so busy with ‘Dancing with the Stars,’ so I will be rehearsing, and my hair will be so disgusting after rehearsals, so I come back and have to go to an event. I will just pop a Glamarama in or something like that. I really love them. It’s really fun to be involved.”

The Glamarama is one of the styles offered in the hair extension line, and it is 7 ½ inches resting on a clip-in comb with barely waved layers. It’s a lighter piece that adds more hair to an up-do. Another option is the Go!Go! Girl, which is a full piece that clips in and uses multi-levels and layers for a fuller style. It can add volume and length and is 11 inches wide by 19 inches long.

“We use the whole line. When you see us on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ with the amazing hair, it takes a lot of help from the hair extensions,” Johnson revealed at an event at the Burbank Ulta promoting the line. “Even in rehearsals, because it’s so damaging to the hair when you’re doing something grueling like ‘Dancing with the Stars.’”

The constant teasing, styling and hair spraying becomes too much and damaging to ones hair, Johnson explained. She said that the already-completed pieces also help quicken the transformation process for on-set changes.

With the constant movement that these professional dancers must go through, it’s clear that these pieces also stay on the head very safely, and Johnson advises if your movement will be up to par with these dancers, some extra pins don’t hurt to keep the hair in place.

“But if you’re just out for a night and get your boogie on the dance floor, you don’t need any pins,” Johnson laughed, demonstrating small dance moves that could be found among a group of girls on a Friday night.

Another aspect to the hair that Johnson explained was its authentic feel and texture, made of a new fiber with the Tru2Life®, heat-friendly technology. The pieces can be curled, straightened or flipped out for a new do, all while feeling like real, genuine hair.

White, an aspiring actress and spokeswoman for equal rights, won over a panel of ten celebrity judges with her well-spoken intentions, philanthropic dedication and perhaps the threads of a red dress.

“She has the whole package,” said Aaron Barrera, who helped White raise $20,000 for the Matthew Shepard Foundation, which embraces human diversity. “She’ll be Miss USA.”

The entertainment industry was well represented on the judging panel. Joining celebrity trainer Eric Viskovicz, was reality star Stephanie Pratt, and actresses Ashley Jones (True Blood), Shar Jackson (Celebrity Fit Club: Boot Camp), and Necar Zadegan (24).

With an eye for talent, casting directors Annie Roberts and Marnie Saitta helped gauge the stage, and jewelry designer and poker all-star Lee Watkinson, singer Taylor Dayne, and Malibu’s Mayor Jefferson Wagner helped round out the decision process.

Their professions may range from the mic to the campaign trail, however each judge arrived to the event with one mutual objective; find the contestant who best embodied the city of Malibu.

“Erin was a great choice,” said Stephanie Pratt, judge and former star of MTV’s “The Hills.” “It has to be someone who cares about the community.  It’s really easy to just be a pretty girl, with a nice dress and a manicure. It’s really about what’s on the inside.”

Grammy nominated artists, Plane White T’s and celebrity plastic surgeon Dr. Gabriel Chiu, accompanied by his wife Christine, and managing partner Alexandra served as honorary guest judges for the pageant as well.

Marketing company, Distinctive Assets, made sure the stage itself was not the afternoon’s only focal point. With a sprawling display of white and blue tents, picturesque picket fences and a wedding-like lawn set-up, the Miss Malibu Pageant’s ambiance visually catered to the hundreds of guests in attendance.

Experienced entertainers and Emmy winners Wendy Burch and Jackie Guerra co-hosted the action. Burch, a reporter for KTLA’s Morning News, and television personality Guerra called the shots, as live entertainment was provided during intermissions. Musical performances by notable swimwear designer and DJ, Caroline D’Amore, and rapper Ya Boy helped the crowd of passionate supporters enthusiastically jump around, cheering on the contestants.

A cocktail party, serving Moreno BHLV California Champagne and assorted imported beer, preceded the Miss Malibu pageant. Cheerz IntelliShot, an anti-hangover supplement company, provided their green slushy concoction, “Cheerzaritas” to the sun-soaked crowd as well.

The family event also boasted a silent auction with sports and entertainment memorabilia, and gave a variety of vendors the opportunity to showcase their goods. Malibu’s own ChocolateBox Café served Italian imported gelato, and S.O.TERIK displayed a new line of t-shirts with culturally relevant, peace-promoting imprints.

All of the contestants were styled by Paris Cut Hair Design, and outfitted with Silver Linings shoe liners, which help eliminate high-heeled perspiration.

As the winner of Miss Malibu, White will receive a prize package worth more than $20,000. Perks include a two week Ultimate Fitness Bootcamp Experience at Live In Fitness Enterprise, which is valued at $10, 450 as well as a walk on role on NBC’s “Days of Our Lives.” She will also have the opportunity to compete for Miss California USA 2011 on Nov. 21, 2010 at the Riviera Resort & Spa in Palm Springs, Calif.

Raising funds for human rights and competing for Miss USA may be the long-term focus for White, but it’ll be one step at a time for Miss Malibu 2011. “What am I going to do next?” White said,  “I’m going to eat.”

The new metallics are exciting and flirty.  Gun metal grays, silvers and plumy grays are amazing for almost all eye colors and they’re especially wonderful on the amber-brown eyes of singer Jessica Simpson and Grey’s Anatomy’s Katherine Heigl.  Eva Longoria looks incredible in these colors, with pale pink lips and cheeks that put the focus on those eyes!  This look is perfect for Courtney Cox and Jennifer Connelly’s gorgeous steely blues!  Look for dazzling eyes, rimmed on the inner bottom lid in black and charcoal kohl liners.  White/silver eyeshadow along the outer corner of the eyelid closest to the nose bridge widens the eye and brings added sparkle to the overall look.  It’s a little trick that makes Hollywood’s best-of-the-best look sexy and innocent all at the same time.  On Oscar night, it’s back to classic, Hollywood glamour.
