Stephen ‘Twitch’ Boss and Allison Holker met on “So You Think You Dance”. Recently the couple’s shared passion benefited the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital when they co-hosted the organization’s Dance For Kids Holiday Party at Duff’s CakeMix in West Hollywood.
Twitch and Allison have launched a holiday giving campaign with the goal of raising money and awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network. Each year 170 children’s hospitals treat 10 million children in North America.
Hollywood stars Nigel Lythgoe (So You Think You Can Dance), Jason George (Greys Anatomy), Dan Bucatinsky (24: Legacy) and Oscar Nunez (People Of Earth), Faithe Herman (This is Us), Aubrey Anderson Emmons (Modern Family), Eris Baker, Lonnie Chavis, Mackenzie Hancsicsak and Parker Bates enjoyed a day of fun with patients from the Children’s Miracle Hospital’s in Los Angeles and Orange County.
The Dance for Kids Holiday Party featured many interactive activities such as decorating celebrity chef Duff Goldman’s famous holiday cupcakes along face painting, caricatures, balloon art, magic, glitter hair braids decorating ornaments and capturing memories of the party with a Polite in Public holiday-themed photo booth. Entrepreneur Kendra Scott gave guests a chance to do a little last minute Christmas shopping with her mystery pull jewelry bar.
There were plenty of refreshments to keep everyone energized. Treats ranged from a hot chocolate and coffee bar provided by Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to healthy snacks supplied by That’s It. Partygoers also enjoyed cotton candy from Love Swirls and Harmless Harvest provided hydration at the party with their yummy coconut water
Two Miracle Kids helped inspired attendees through their stories and music. Ten-year-old Angelica Hale’s rendition of Andra Day’s “Rise Up” delighted everyone. Chloe Davisson shared how Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have helped her and other boys and girls overcome obstacles and realize their dreams.
Of course, no holiday party would be complete without the Jolly Old Elf. Guests and their families had the opportunity to take pics with Santa and make sure he knew what they wanted for Christmas this year.
Throughout North America and Canada, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® raise funds and awareness for the 170 member hospitals that annually provide 32 million treatments. All donations stay local and are used to pay for services and medical equipment. Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been around since 1983 and in that time has raised more than $5 billion. Thanks to generous partners the nonprofit is able to make an enormous difference in the lives of children in need.
