One of Los Angeles’ most eagerly anticipated social events of the year, The Macallan 5 Course Menu of the Evening, was held Nov. 30th at Herb Alpert’s Vibrato Grill, Jazz, Etc. This elegant evening, hosted by Macallan National Ambassador Kieron Elliott, was a celebration of food and spirits with enough twists to prevent it from ever being confused with a conventional dinner party.

The annual occasion is an opportunity for Macallan to showcase it’s new and classic cask, paired with savory dishes from the Vibrato. This year’s fare included Shishito Pepper Skewer (paired with Macallan #2), Turnip and Ginger Soup (the recently introduced Macallan Edition #3), Red Duroc Pork Belly (Macallan 18), Miso Glazed King Salmon (Macallan 17), and Hojicha Creme Brule (Macallan 21).
The one of a kind event, created by Colure and Diamond, is in its fourth year. Originally, The Macallan 5 Course Menu of the Evening was held at Playa Provisions with celebrity chef Brooke Williams and her husband Nick. It was then moved to Darren’s in Manhattan Beach, CA. The growing popularity of the dinner necessitated the move to Vibrato.
Each year Colure and Diamond teams with globally recognized brands (past partners include Bose, Bulova, and Reidel) to put together the gift box. The lavish swag is in keeping with the exclusive nature of a party that celebrates fine whiskey and cuisine.
The Macallan 5 Course Menu of the Evening has found an ideal home at the Vibrato and a winning formula that includes gourmet food, finely aged whiskey and luxury gifts.
