New season, new menu for Sweet Chick Los Angeles
Sweet Chick is the neighborhood spot you’ve always wanted in Los Angeles, a chill place with imaginative food, great ambiance, good music at a comfortable level and hip patrons.

Sweet Chick, based out of New York City, has their own unique spin on a chicken-and-waffles and also serves delicious food alongside creative cocktails, all at a great price. Sweet Chick happens to be backed by Nasir Jones, aka the rapper Nas, a hip-hop legend who has lent his creative flare to inspired fare.

Here’s what you can expect when you walk into Sweet Chick: a cool vibe fueled by old-school hip hop streaming over the sound system, as you relax in a casual setting of distressed tables and exposed lightbulbs among vintage radio microphones, studio-quality headphones, and heavy-duty mixing boards.

You can also expect comfort food that shows its down-home roots, but with a modern update. Sweet Chick calls it “American cuisine with a Southern accent.” You’ll simply call the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, and biscuits and gravy delicious.

But if you and your friends are looking for lighter, healthier fare, Sweet Chick has you covered with a house salad and an avocado and fennel salad, several varieties of bowls (granola, farro, quinoa), and even a kale BLT.

Did we mention the chicken and waffles? Forgive us if we’re repeating ourselves – they’re that good. And it almost goes without saying that Sweet Chick uses only the best-tasting locally sourced ingredients across its menu.

And to keep your taste buds buzzing, check out the cocktail selection. The seasonal slushie is a sure bet, but hip-hop fans might be want to check out the Ghost Dog (bourbon, toasted sesame, Cocchi Torino, genmaicha syrup, and orange and tobacco bitters). Sweet Chick’s namesake cocktail (vodka, triple sec, and watermelon and lime juice) is another appropriate complement to the southern cooking.

As the go-to neighborhood “spot” on LA’s hottest block, Fairfax between Melrose and Beverly, NY based Sweet Chick has dropped it’s all new Fall Drink Menu that will have you feeling all the feels with specialty cocktails that mixologist Anthony Sferra serves up, including:

Behind the scenes, NYC native John Seymour established Sweet Chick in 2013. His combined his passion for food and his years of experience in the service industry to create destinations in Williamsburg and Manhattan where diners would not only eat but feel like part of a community – where they’d want to be a regular and welcomed like family. In fact, he’s often behind the bar, talking to locals and celebrities such as Zac Efron, Zendaya, and Scarlett Johansen alike. And who knows? Maybe Raekwon from the Wu-Tang Clan will drop in again to celebrate.

Now Sweet Chick’s winning formula has arrived in Los Angeles, thanks in large part to the vision and work of co-owner Nas.

And one more time: Order the chicken and waffles at Sweet Chick. You won’t regret it.
