Great new hotspot in Venice is Surfside Bar and Grill. They just completed a full renovation of the space (formerly Danny’s Deli) and created a very cool beach-inspired design in this popular new restaurant just steps away from the Venice Beach Boardwalk.

Surfide is a surf and sports bar that serves west coast comfort beach food, features 13 big screen TV’s showing local & international sports, and is a live music venue. It has an appeal for all, and somehow it all melds together quite well. It’s the perfect place to spend a relaxing, long day with friends.

The large, multi-level space has cocktail bar seating, large comfortable booths, hightop sport bar seating. The upstairs is a historic gallery, featuring local historical & modern Venice Beach photographs.

And even better… the food is quite good! Surfside’s founding Executive Chef Jesse Gutierrez has created a diverse selection of menu items to entice beachside guests from California comfort food, to a delicious mix of LA-Korean inspired dishes, sustainable seafood and vegan and vegetarian options.

Surfside gives back
For the month of October, they will donate $1 for every Pink Bikini purchased. The charity of choice is The National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Breakwater Burger
1/2 lb certified Angus beef, applewood bacon, 2-year aged cheddar, tomato, grilled onion, bibb lettuce, tangy sauce, pickles, brioche bun.

Fish & Chips
The perfect bite; delicious tender fish in a perfectly crispy crust

Chicken Avocado Baguette
A grilled chipotle chicken breast, tomato, avocado, Bibb lettuce, roasted pepper aioli.

Surfside Fish Tacos
Full of flavor with house-made corn tortillas with grilled sustainably-sourced fish topped with roasted jalapeno slaw, pico de gallo, and chipotle crema.

Flatbread
Anyone, vegan or not, would find the flatbread with crispy kale, Brussel sprouts, balsamic drizzle and delicious vegan almond ricotta (made from scratch from Chef Jesse) very delicious.

Cali Salad
100% local greens, grilled corn, avocado, wheat berry, tomatoes, cucumber, with cilantro vinaigrette.

Happy Hour is 4:00 -7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, features $5.00 beer and cocktails:

The Windward Ave is refreshing and features gin, spiced ginger and pear syrup, lemon juice, soda water and candied ginger
Sun Tan features tequila, lime juice, pink grapefruit soda and fresh squeezed lime
Lifeguard is served with Jim Beam, lemon juice and ginger beer, muddled with fresh raspberries, blueberries and mint leaves.

Muscle Beach Tofu Scramble
Pays homage to the community is the with black beans, onions, cilantro, country potatoes, tomatoes, wipeout salsa and avocado — lot’s of avocado, served with house-made corn tortillas
The Boardwalk Breakfast Sandwich

Surfside Venice Bar + Grill is open for Brunch, Lunch and Dinner every Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.
