To ring in the start of burger season, Hard Rock Cafe invited media and VIPs to sample their most exotic local burgers created by different executive chefs from locations around the globe on Thursday, April 27th at the Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood. To add to the fun, Hard Rock made it into a blind taste test, where the person who guessed the most burgers right got a prize!

The Delicious Hurricane Cocktail before the Taste Test!

The flavors of the World Burger Tour were inspired by cities around the world such as London, Seoul, Vietnam, Barcelona, Memphis, Columbia and New Orleans! Paired with these burgers were their signature hurricane Cocktail and their local Moose Star cocktail.

Before the burgers came, attendees were treated to buffalo cauliflower, garlic, and seasoned fries accompanied by Hard Rock’s signature sauce.

The First Burger we tasted was the Colombian Plantain Burger from Cartagena, Colombia. This burger was a South American savory and sweet combination of caramelized onions, bacon and Monterey Jack Cheese, spiked with molasses and topped with fried plantains on a Certified Angus Beef® patty. Perfectly paired with crispy plantain chips and mojo sauce.

The Second Burger on the menu was their Barcelona Burger. My personal favorite, was topped with smoked bacon, cheddar cheese, golden fried onion ring, crisp lettuce and vine ripened tomato.

Next Burger was the Jambalaya Burger from New Orleans, Louisiana. This goliath of a  burger features spiced up Certified Angus Beef® fixed with Cajun mayo, pickles, andouille sausage, pepper jack cheese and a jammin’ jambalaya rice cake.

The final burger we tasted was the Banh Mi Burger from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. This savory delight is coated in tangy house-made Vietnamese glaze, topped with sliced cucumbers and pickled vegetables, accompanied by a garnishment of cilantro and green onions all on a Certified Angus Beef® patty
