Connoisseurs of gourmet pizza in the Playa Vista area of Los Angeles have reason to celebrate with the recent opening of 800 Degrees Pizza. The same commitment to superior taste goes into everything they serve. 800 Degrees is unlike any other fast casual pizzeria in the world.
Chef Anthony Carron founded 800 Degrees in Los Angeles in 2012. From the beginning, the brand has remained true to his vision of a traditional Neapolitan pizzeria that focuses on delivering excellence in every aspect of the experience from the food and decor to customer service. In a short time, 800 Degrees has expanded to sixteen locations worldwide, including Tokyo, Dubai, and Las Vegas.
Neapolitan style pizza is noteworthy for its simplicity and attention to detail, including how long the pizza is cooked and the characteristics of the individual ingredients. Although Chef Anthony has made it possible for busy diners to enjoy an authentic Neapolitan-style pizza without the wait. In an 800 degree oven it takes just 90 seconds to cook.
You can choose from a three ‘base’ pizzas: Margharita, Bianca (no sauce) and Verde (green pie/pesto), then choose from a multitude of freshly-prepared toppings to create a masterpiece all your own, or try one of 800 Degree’s signature pizzas. The brand’s seventh Los Angeles location opened on November 19th and the look of the new restaurant is as pleasing as its menu. The pizzeria is comprised of 3,800 square feet including an outdoor patio that allows diners to enjoy their meal in the open air.
Elegant touches such as Carrera marble, chandeliers and the striking white and black color motif blend nicely with old world wooden booths to neatly straddle the line between a casual and fine dining restaurant. At the heart of the restaurant is the double oven made by Ditta Mario Acunto, a Naples, Italy company that has been designing pizza ovens for over 100 years.
All 800 Degrees locations are open seven days a week. To find a location near you or to place an order visit 800degreespizza.com.
