This past weekend, the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation held a Celebrity Poker Tournament with PokerStars Helping Hands & Casino Night Party at The Avalon nightclub in Hollywood. Celebrities and VIPs from tv, film, music and âsâports came out to lend their support.
Hosted by Don Cheadle, celebrities who attended included Jerry West, Tito Ortiz, Tommy Lasorda, Camryn Manheim, Tia Carrera, Tony Denison and more.
Proceeds from this event benefit LAPD officers and their immediate family members, who have experienced unforeseen catastrophic circumstances, including death, illness and injury in the line of duty.
Without the help of the foundation many of theâ âkidsâ of Officers killedâ will not have the opportunity to go to college, will lack basic funds for sporting activities or even medical costs.
