How to Host a Luxurious Event in LA

Choosing a Venue

The first thing you need to do is choose a venue for your event.  Downtown LA has a number of great choices that are used to hosting events and will be able to take care of most of the hard work for you.  The NOKIA Theater, the Los Angeles Convention Center, and the GRAMMY Museum are three choices that are located close to high class hotels in the area.

Choosing the Catering

Guests at a luxury event will expect high quality catering, so nothing less than a spectacular culinary experience will do.  Consider the type of event you are hosting, and think about the best type of food for the occasion.  If you are hosting a wedding, for example, a sit down meal with all the trimmings may be ideal.  However, if you are planning a corporate event that starts in the evening, canapes may be a better choice.

It’s also important to consider the type of drinks you will be serving.  Cocktails may work for an evening do, whereas wine and soft drinks may be more suited to a daytime event.

Remember also to cater to those with specific dietary requirements like vegans, vegetarians, and those following a gluten free diet.  Finding out who requires what in advance is a good idea, but it’s always best to have extra available.

Choosing the Entertainment

With LA being host to numerous types of entertainment, it shouldn’t be too hard to hire the right performers for your occasion.  However, do remember that entertainment books up fast so you will want to get this sorted as soon as possible.  If it is your first time hiring entertainment, it would be in your best interest to hire an event planner to help you out with this.  Not only will an event planner know who the best performers are in the area, but they will also be able to recommend the best type of entertainment for the event you are hosting.
