Children’s Bureau, a nonprofit leader in the prevention and treatment of child abuse and neglect, will host its sixth annual Celebrity Chefs & Wine Tasting event on October 22 from 6:00 pm. to 9:00 p.m. at Casa Vertigo, near downtown Los Angeles. The event will feature exceptional cuisine from some of LA’s best chefs, a sampling of superb wines from around the world, and the opportunity for guests to indulge in exclusive auction offerings.

A-list chefs scheduled to showcase their talents at the Celebrity Chefs & Wine Tasting are Gino Angelini (Angelini Osteria), Susan Feniger (Border Grill), Neal Fraser (Redbird), Yousef Ghalaini (FIG Santa Monica), Greg Hozinsky & Stephanie Franz (The Strand House), John Lechleidner (WP24 Restaurant and Lounge), Walter Manzke (Republique), Hans Röckenwagner & Wolfgang Gussmack (Röckenwagner), and Steve Samson (Sotto), among others.

Wine aficionados will delight in the wines that will be poured at the event, with 18 wineries set to showcase some of their top wines, including Louis Martini’s, Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley Lot No. 1; Stags’ Leap Winery’s, Petite Sirah, Napa Valley; Jolie-Pitt & Perrin’s, Côtes de Provence Rosé, Miraval; Ste. Michelle Wine Estates’, Antinori Tignanello, Tuscany; Ramey Wine Cellars’, Chardonnay, Russian Valley.

“The Celebrity Chefs and Wine Tasting event is truly a magical evening celebrating exceptional cuisine prepared by some of the best culinary standouts on the Los Angeles food scene and exquisite wines from around the world all for the benefit of at-risk children and families in Southern California,” said Alex Morales, president and chief executive officer, Children’s Bureau. “The funds raised through this event go a long way in helping us provide the highest quality of child abuse prevention and treatment services.”

Tickets to the general event are $250 per person.  Guests interested in upgrading to the Sommeliers Magnum Lounge for premium wine tasting at the event, can purchase tickets for $500 per person. The Sommeliers Magnum Lounge is an event within the event that offers a number of rare wines from around the world poured from 1.5 Liter format bottles by Master and Advanced Sommeliers from the Court of Master Sommeliers.

The organization’s primary fundraiser, Children’s Bureau has raised $1.1 million to date with its annual Celebrity Chefs and Wine Tasting event.

In honor of the evening, Uber has teamed up with the Children’s Bureau to provide event attendees a $20 code so that new users can get a free first ride up to $20 from the leading transportation service.
